Building the future of digital health with

About MAVIE
Mavie is UNIQA Insurance Group’s health ecosystem, headquartered in Vienna. Through its corporate startup Mavie Next (formerly SanusX), UNIQA builds and invests in ventures that focus on health, wellbeing, and preventive care.
The ecosystem combines a portfolio of companies and initiatives — such as MavieMe (home blood testing), Mavie Work (corporate health services), Telemed (online consultations), and care services — with the goal of delivering a holistic health experience.
Mavie’s mission is to go beyond traditional insurance by connecting prevention, innovation, and healthcare into one seamless journey.
Why did the Mavie partner with BRACKETS?
Our collaboration with Mavie began when our team met their CTO in Vienna to discuss MavieMe — a new digital health venture focused on personal home blood testing. The project required a rapid prototype and a front-end upgrade under tight deadlines, with a roadmap that demanded both speed and reliability.
Mavie regularly evaluates multiple external partners in Austria and abroad. They chose BRACKETS not just to extend their team, but because we bring the right mix of technical excellence, agile delivery, and cultural fit. Our proximity, trustworthiness, and proven ability to deliver in complex industries made us the partner of choice.

Projects
We started with the foundations: a modern front-end website and admin portal for MavieMe. To streamline product administration and the checkout process, we integrated Shopify via GraphQL API.
From there, we built a customer portal that allowed users to easily activate their at-home blood tests — creating a smooth, end-to-end digital health journey.
As the partnership grew, Mavie’s CTO trusted us with more ambitious challenges:
- • an internal tool connecting all Mavie portals through single sign-on,
- • and Mavie KillBill — a health insurance portal where users can upload a doctor’s bill photo and request reimbursement in just a few clicks.
All solutions were developed in the Mavie design language, reusing components across projects for consistency and speed. This approach, combined with our agile way of working, meant our developers could seamlessly switch between projects and deliver faster.
